The English language is a scary language in itself; unusual spelling for simple sounding words, silent syllables, and abstract pronunciations are all characteristics of this seemingly complex and scary language to comprehend. However, scary words in this sense are not regarding complicated pronunciations or words that have more than seven syllables, but rather words that make your goose bumps appear, and will most likely keep you hiding under your bed sheets at night with the light on. These scary words can be seen, heard, or described in a vast assortment of things such as movies, books, or plays. These words accentuate the notion "frightening", as they are generally seen as words that represent things that are out of the ordinary. As most of these words regard some sort of ghostly spirit, relentless destruction, or excruciating pain, these words signify scary thoughts and images that can be transcended to people, places, or scenarios that would definitely make you wish you stayed home for the night.
