Famous Mysteries: Loch Ness Monster
The Lochness Monster, located in the Scottish Highlands, is one of the world's great unsolved mysteries. As many speculations state that is the last living plesiosaurs, others state that it is oversized nougat, while some say it is all just a hoax. As the animal is described with a very elongated neck and a relatively small head compared to its large body, "Nessie", is best sought to look like a prehistoric plesiosaurs. The first apparent sighting that received much popular recognition was in 1933, where individuals reported a huge creature with a long narrow neck poking out of the water. As this specific sighting grew with popularity, the world would soon come to discover their infatuation with this unsolved prehistoric mystery.
As many sightings after the 1933 one were established, not many received very much credit. As most of these apparent sightings or even video tapings were generally hoaxes. However, much more recently, in 2007, comes the most recent and most substantial data of a possible sea monster within the Scottish Highlands lake. As Gordon Holmes, had taken numerous photos of what had appeared to be a long serpent like creature barely under the water. As many skeptical individuals believe that is could be some sort of discoloration or perhaps just another sea creature within the lake. However, till present day there is no dire evidence that the so called "Nessie" is a myth or truly a living ancient miracle.
