JonBenet Ramsay Murder
Perhaps one of the most well-known child star murders of all times is that of JonBenet Patricia Ramsey. She was an extremely focused young individual that was a literal rock star within the child beauty pageant industry. Winning various awards and receiving even quite a bit of media coverage prior to her death, the child star beauty pageant queen was an absolutely adorable individual that is surely missed by many. Born on August 6, 1990, JonBenet Patricia Ramsey was born in Boulder, Colorado however, only six years later was found dead in her basement on December 25, 1996. However, many believe that this was no typical murder case, but rather a Hollywood murder, the kind that had unusual suspects and circumstantial evidence. JonBenet Patricia Ramsey was found eight hours after she was reported missing. As law enforcement agencies believe that her unfortunate murder is possibly linked back to her mother, father, or even brother. The suspicion arose by experts, the media, and her parents. Some believe that Patricia Ramsey hurt her child due to a complication or confrontation, and continued on her rampage killing her daughter the same night to avoid showing bruises or marks of abuse. This was further reinforced by the fact that several handwriting experts determined that Patsy Ramsey was more than likely the individual who wrote the ransom note. However, in her defense, this evidence was circumstantial as there had been no previous records of the parents ever abusing or hurting either of their children.
The Ramseys believe that the murder was committed by someone who had broken into the house, however, the scene of the crime made it hard to tell. The immediate police on the scene made several mistakes that hypothetically could have detrimentally affected the authenticity of the case. The autopsy of JonBenet Patricia Ramsey indicated some key circumstantial contexts that displayed time references that would be crucial to understanding her death as well as possibly who the murderer was. Pineapple in her stomach, no sign of forced entry, and an old broken basement window all made the evidence too foggy to understand or make any real claims. The overall prosecution of the case was excellent, unfortunately there was not enough scientific evidence that could clearly point into the correct direction of how this young child star was killed. Due to the fact of such contradictory evidence, the grand jury failed to find or accuse anyone of the murder. Currently, the parents of JonBenet Patricia Ramsey have moved to Atlanta. After several more grand jury hearings, the case still has yet to be solved. The case was recently re-opened for investigation in February 2009.
