Ghost Names

Ghosts, being the deceased spirits they are, usually have a name that was either the name of which they were called on earth, or a name that they have acquired due to actions or rituals. Names of ghosts range from Casper, all the way to names that have deep religious meaning such as Wanageeska, who is an Indian spirit. Ghost names are not necessarily a complex concept to understand, but rather the purpose of ghost names are to exhibit what the ghost symbolizes or are capable of doing. The more famous ghosts are generally named by individuals, while some ghosts are capable of displaying their names themselves when they speak.

Some of the most famous of ghost names are the ones that generally have had movies made after them due to their tremendous impact on either a family or town, in which most cases the individuals are left with reminisces of fear or uncertainty. One exception is Caspar McFadden, the famous comic strip ghost that left people spookily excited when the next series were to be released. Besides Caspar the friendly ghost, most famous ghost names are usually dark, deep, and symbolic to their actions. An example of a famous ghost name is "The Brown Lady", in which this is not an actual generic name but rather a description of the act of which this ghost has done.
