Ghost Games
Gaming has become one of the many popular pieces of the American culture. Since the beginning age of video games in the 80's, video games have only grown faster with no expectation of slowing down anytime soon. Games range in genres and ages, but one specific genre has been increasingly popular in the past decade or two, that being ghost games. Ghost games are generally put into the genre of horror or thriller, and are also usually aimed for a higher age demographic. Furthermore, although these games are not aimed at all ages, they have increasingly high popularity and loyal fan base that just cannot seem to get enough of these paranormal expeditions.
Most popular and successful ghost games are aimed towards a teenage to early adult age demographic, and mainly focus on a shooter or adventure aspect. Some of the most popular ghost games to date are F.E.A.R. and Ghost's n Goblins. Both of these main stream video games have been released in multiple countries, various gaming platforms and also subsequent versions. These games have had tremendous success using ghosts and paranormal spirits as their theme for the bad guy. Unfortunately, ghost games have started to slowly transcend as a partial but more frequently played category of games that often deal with zombies or monsters. Games that usually have a scary aspect to them generally include ghosts in them, however, it has been noted that ghosts are starting to appear less in these sci-fi horror games, as zombies and other creative creatures are starting to get more recognition and response from this growing database of gamers.
